This is a systematic study following Bible verses and illustrations in consecutive order through the English divisions of the Bible to define what it means to wait upon the Lord. Principles are identified with each text and listed again at the close of the Old and New Testaments. The discoveries reveal both our responsibilities and God's activities in this partnership. The biblical picture painted is far from inactive and idle passing of time. Scripture reveals an active, vibrant, and shared relationship with Christ achieving God's will and overcoming obstacles by his powerful presence. The "waiting" mindset is a position of faith that cultivates a close relationship with Christ to understand and accomplish his will. It involves identifying God’s expectations of a Christian while waiting compared to identifying God’s unique part in this waiting partnership.
